Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and an artist in mixed martial arts competing for her country in UFC at the flyweight division, is currently in the Flyweight Division. Shevchenko is the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's fight sport career started out as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and later defeated Suzane Mller on a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second prize in 2007, winning a bronze in 2008, winning gold in 2011 and was crowned the 2017 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion. Antonia's professional career started in 2003. She won in 2012 in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship as well as in the year 2016 she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas during her final match at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shevchenko made her professional MMA record in 2002 when she fought at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won the second-round TKO fight and her subsequent two bouts at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and devoted her time to kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by unanimity. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina employed her impressive punching ability for the fight to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. In the aftermath of this win Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina has recovered from her loss through defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. It earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian, and defeated Ariane Lipski in her subsequent three bouts. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
